First Experience with Stock Investment#
Opening an Account and Initial Investment in 2011#
I opened an account around 2011 and bought shares of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, blue-chip large-cap stocks, without any thrill; it was too stable. The fluctuations of a few cents or dimes felt nonexistent, and when I moved away from the screen, I thought my heart had stopped.
I also bought SANY Heavy Industry, which was building houses every day, and thought it was good. It was indeed good; I bought it at around 14.5. Then I ended up losing money, didn't sell, and later sold it for over 16 yuan. I had only traded stocks twice and didn't lose money because I stopped trading.
The Contribution of Guoyuan Securities#
The contribution of Guoyuan Securities was these two stocks. Later, I used apps like Tian Tian Fund to buy funds and rarely opened Guoyuan anymore.
Forgotten Password and Modification#
Forgotten Password in 2023#
In 2023, I wanted to log into the Guoyuan app on my phone and found that I had forgotten my password. I then applied to change my password, and at that time, it was verified by phone. After two days, it was changed. I felt the efficiency was low.
Plan to Cancel Account#
After changing it, I inquired about how to cancel my account, took my ID card, cleared my account, and then went to the business center where I opened the account. It would take about 2-3 hours to travel back and forth by subway in the city. I never went. I originally planned to stop by on a day I passed by, but each time I went by, either I didn't have time or I didn't bring my ID, so I gave up.
Attempt to Cancel in 2024#
Forgotten Password Again#
In the last few days of 2024, I started thinking about canceling my account. I forgot the password again. I opened my password record and found that the trading password and account password were different. I followed the prompts on my phone to change the trading password, but ultimately found that I still couldn't log in, so I consulted the app.
Password Modification and Video Verification#
I submitted a request to make the trading password and account password the same, and now everything requires video verification, which I then completed.
Setbacks in Account Cancellation Application#
On the last day of 2024, I applied for account cancellation in the morning. Halfway through the application, I had something to do, and I was just short of video verification. There was a queue for video verification. I queued several times, each time for three minutes, then withdrew and queued again. Around 2:00 PM, they contacted me, asking me to keep the account and not cancel it. I said I had wanted to cancel it for a long time; I really had no use for it, and I had changed the password three times. It was quite time-consuming. We chatted about other things, but I just wanted to cancel. He said it was fine, and it would go through when the time came. I asked if video verification was still needed. He said it had to be verified first, and I clarified.
Work Time Restrictions#
At 3:00 PM, I went to pick up my second child from school, and after returning home, I had time, so I quickly opened the app to operate. I found a prompt saying working hours were from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and I had already missed work hours. Those working hours are really nice.
Cancellation of Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Accounts#
Synchronization Cancellation Issue#
When canceling the Shenzhen stock account and the Shanghai stock account, there was a synchronization cancellation issue?? I forgot the name. I then contacted the account manager through the mobile app, estimating that this issue was complex, and there was no response from the app. They contacted me directly by phone, but this time it was for the Guojin account, as I was worried that the people from Guoyuan would continue to prevent me from canceling my account.
Account Cancellation Rules#
For the Shanghai market, there can be a maximum of three accounts, while for the Shenzhen market, there can be multiple accounts. However, if the Guoyuan and Guojin Shenzhen accounts are the same, there is no need to cancel; the Shanghai accounts can be canceled at will, and they are generally not the same.
Recording Confirmation#
After saying that, I forgot. I went to check but couldn't find anything. Suddenly, I remembered that I had previously enabled automatic phone recording on my phone. I checked, and sure enough, there was a recording. I listened to it again to confirm clearly.
