Learning well has a probability

Trivia#

A few days ago, I spoke out of turn and forgot the saying that silence is golden, especially after reading a few books, it felt like my brain was stuffed full.

The cause was that I asked my eldest to wash the dishes, and the child's mother said that the eldest is always in the top three of the class, so it's enough to focus on studying, and there's no need to do these mechanical, mindless tasks.

I started to say half a sentence, that doing well in studies is probabilistic, and then I mentioned a view similar to interdisciplinary thinking, that some technological innovation might be inspired by the bubbles from washing dishes, just like the bubble story mentioned by Yun Tianming after the restoration of his brain in "The Three-Body Problem." Before I could finish my answer, the child's mother told me to shut up and began her output.

She said that if you study well, the return on investment is high; at the very least, you'll find a good job with a good income, and with a high income, you can hire a nanny.

I smiled wryly and said that long-term good studying is probabilistic, and every time you just latch onto one sentence to debate with me, taking things out of context.

She said, why don't you explain it clearly in one go, and now be quiet. Anyone can wash dishes; if you can't, you can buy a dishwasher. Why waste time?

Usually, I can only argue for about ten minutes before I give up and directly concede, because I find that as long as I make a reasonable point, the other party gets very angry, and at that moment, I can't discuss views or reasoning. I can only talk about emotional value.

Views#

From the above, you can see why I like that saying.
I disagree with your view, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

PUA, pick-up artist, the art of flirting, I understand literally as the art of picking up nice words to say.

The matter itself is not important; your view on the matter is what matters.

Calling a deer a horse is just like that.

Keso blogger, his previous blog name was "How does Keso see it," got it? No matter what you write, you need to have your own views and opinions.

Last year, I read two books, Mao Zedong's comments on historical figures. Look at the book title. Comments are views, and these views are the dividing line.

A group of people reads the Communist Manifesto; some agree and join it, some want to join but are not allowed, and some neutrally observe how those who joined act and do.

Public reviews, Taobao's evaluation system, are all views. Previously, when I bought something on Taobao and gave the seller a bad review, someone would immediately contact me with a solution. Sometimes when I bought something on Tmall and gave a one-star review, it was quiet. Things are expensive, which might mean they are more authentic. I rarely shop on Tmall in recent years.

Now, on Pinduoduo, looking at other bloggers' records, if you receive something problematic, the platform automatically provides a solution, refunding a certain percentage of the money or offering coupons, etc. They don't let you immediately express your views; they want to silence you to recover your opinion.

Once, I bought a repair tape for an electric scooter seat on Taobao's special edition. Right after payment, I received a text saying they also have a store on Pinduoduo with the same product at a lower price, along with a link. I clicked to check, and indeed it was 2 yuan cheaper, so I ordered it on Pinduoduo. This repair tape for tarpaulin seat cushions is probably okay for tarpaulin, but it's best not to use it on leather seat cushions or sofa cushions. Over time, it will delaminate, and the adhesive will remain on the cushion while the tape has already fallen off. I wanted to leave a review but found that the review period had already passed. Moreover, the review system on Pinduoduo is of little use to buyers, just like Tmall's star rating system.

In reality, some service-oriented organizations also pretentiously set up customer review systems. Once, when I went to the bank to handle business, after finishing, they asked me to rate the service. I looked at the evaluation buttons, and only the positive review button was there; the dissatisfied buttons were completely missing, and I couldn't press them. Seeing me hesitate, the staff said just press that red button.

The SMS evaluation system of telecom service providers had this setting for a while: 1 very satisfied, 2 satisfied, 3 basically satisfied, 4 dissatisfied. Every phrase contained "satisfied," as if there could only be satisfaction.
Now it has changed. The police station has 1 basically satisfied, 2 dissatisfied, 3 suggestions and opinions.
China Unicom has 10 satisfied, 9 average, 8 or below dissatisfied.
